GOT7's 'Encore' music video trends on Twitter Philippines

By Aedrianne Acar

The new music video of K-pop phenoms GOT7 titled "Encore" got many of their loyal Ahgase (short for GOT7's fanclub name I GOT7) teary-eyed.

The four-minute M/V was already making noise even before its official release this Saturday, February 20 at exactly 5:00 PM (PHL time).

In fact, the #EncoreWithGOT7 reached the top spot on the trending topics list on Twitter Philippines.

After the three-minute mark of the "Encore" music video, the members spoke briefly and shared their thoughts to their fans.

Yugyeom said, “More than anything else, we wanted to express our feeling like this through a song to you guys.”

JB added, “And we made a promise with our fans so we're here to keep that promise.”

Clearly the fans of GOT7 were touched with the beautiful music and message coming from the group members. The executive producer of the music video is Mark Tuan as well.

The members are now signed with Warner Music Korea.

Last January, GOT7 members Park Jin-young, Jackson Wang, JB, Mark Tuan, BamBam, Kim Yugyeom, and Choi Young-jae gave their message for their ahgase through their official Instagram account, after it was reported that they are leaving JYP Entertainment--their music label since debuting in 2014.

The handwritten letter goes:

“Ahgase (short for GOT7's fanclub name I GOT7), this is GOT7. First of all, we feel very apologetic to our Ahgase about writing a letter for a reason like this. We are parting ways without contract renewal with JYP [Entertainment], which launched our beginning with us and worked hard for us until the end, as we cheer on each other's futures. All of us members will be taking on new starts with people who will take responsibility together for each of our individual futures. We are writing to you like this as we want to tell our fans first.

"We know very well that no words can make up for the hurt feelings and uneasiness felt by Ahgase.

"However, we think there is just one thing that we can really say to Ahgase as GOT7.”

"All of us want to continue making music for Ahgase, share it together, and continue spending time together in the future!"

Other members like Jackson Wang and Young-jae have signed with Sublime Artist Agency, while Jinyoung is now officially with BH Entertainment.

Meanwhile, Yugyeom has officially announced his signing with AOMG, while Mark Tuan has returned to his hometown in Los Angeles and established a studio named “Duan Yi En Studio.
